Company support for your Kumon franchise, every step of the way
13 Oct 2021
While setting up your own business can be daunting, Kumon Australia and New Zealand supports its new franchisees through all the challenges and hurdles. This is because we know that franchisees can face a steep learning curve in the months after opening. At Kumon, a system is in place to support, including a thorough training program for franchisees before opening, and intensive, personalised support afterwards. This includes a dedicated field development consultant who works closely with the franchisee to develop their business, and networking opportunities with other franchisees. Other teams also play key roles in supporting the success of Kumon franchisees. These include our finance, public relations, information technology, human resources, field support, and service centre teams. It is a key priority that all franchisees receive strong support from the company. Since we pride ourselves on our sense of community and supportive environment, in this article, we introduce you to two members of the KANZ team who will support franchisees: **Misaki – Field Support Coordinator** Misaki has worked at Kumon for more than 10 years, in her current role as Field Support Coordinator. Working in the Field Support Team, Misaki supports the setup of new franchises and the takeovers of existing ones. To ensure that everything is ready for the Kumon centre’s opening day, Misaki and her colleagues coordinate with franchisees, their FDCs and suppliers to ensure everything runs smoothly. “Opening new centres is a big event for both franchisees and Kumon branches”, Misaki says. “It is such an honour to support them and be involved. I love seeing the centre opening day photos on Facebook with the happy franchisee and happy students”. ![Franchise/Resources/Articles/z-Images-for-article-body/FSD.jpg](https://www.kumoninstructors.com.au/Resources/Franchise/Articles/z-Images-for-article-body/FSD.jpg?v=20211012232333) *Misaki (right), with Field Support Division Leader, Nathan (left), and Ayuko (middle), fellow Field Support Coordinator.* **Ramona – Field Development Consultant** Ramona has been a Field Development Consultant in Kumon’s Sydney Office for nearly five years. In her role, Ramona helps franchisees to develop their business. This can include instruction of the Kumon Mathematics and English programmes, local area marketing, centre-assistant recruitment, and much more. “I feel I am contributing not just to my own skillset, but to an organisation where all strengths and differences are celebrated”, Ramona says. “The best interests of students are always at the heart of Kumon’s every decision”. Ramona says she is constantly learning as an FDC and is enjoying the journey of supporting her franchisees. ![Franchise/Resources/Articles/z-Images-for-article-body/Ramona.jpg](https://www.kumoninstructors.com.au/Resources/Franchise/Articles/z-Images-for-article-body/Ramona.jpg?v=20211012232340) *Ramona, Field Development Consultant from KANZ’s Sydney Office. * ***To learn more about how KANZ supports new and current franchisees, visit: [https://www.kumoninstructors.com.au/Franchise](https://www.kumoninstructors.com.au/Franchise) (AU) and [https://www.kumoninstructors.co.nz/Franchise](/https://www.kumoninstructors.co.nz/Franchise) (NZ)***
