And, with the launch of KUMON CONNECT, Kumon franchisees now have the option to provide the world’s best mathematics and English worksheets on tablet. Seven new Kumon franchisees started with Kumon in 2024, one of whom was Theresa Alcasabas who opened Kumon Oran Park Education Centre in Sydney’s south-west. “What I love about being a Kumon franchisee, aside from working with children, is the freedom and the flexibility it provides. Because the Kumon centre opens after school hours, I still have time in the morning to prepare my children for school, to drop them off, and to also attend some of their activities that occur during school”, Theresa explains. “I also have time to train my staff and think of ways to further promote my centre. I also love the support being provided by the main office, such as from my assigned consultant and the marketing team.” The growth of Theresa’s centre was among the strongest in NSW in 2024, reflecting the high demand for the quality afterschool education that Kumon provides and the success of the support from the franchise setup team in determining the best locations for business success.
