Personalised and connected support for each franchisee
12 Dec 2023
“How will you support me?” is a question you may have as you consider a career as a Kumon franchisee. We recently asked our amazing staff to answer this question in their own words. In the following video, Kumon staff member, Jacqueline Robles, describes the support Kumon field staff provide to each Instructor entrusted into their care. [Click this link to watch.](https://vimeo.com/891306779/01b0b101eb?share=copy) **Support to achieve your goals** As Jacqueline has described, each Kumon franchisee joins a nationwide network of support that gives their business the best possible chance for long-term success. As their own boss, Kumon franchisees operate their business with autonomy. However, as a franchisee, they have access to Kumon Australia and New Zealand’s highly customised support in a variety of areas. This includes guidance with local promotions, accounts, and staffing, and training on the implementation of the Kumon methodology. All of this support is offered with the aim of helping each franchisee achieve their individual business goals. **Connect into a global network** Forming a strong support network is a vital aspect of managing a business. At Kumon, there is a broad range of networking opportunities available. These include monthly franchisee meetings, a mentoring programme, focus groups, online and in-person seminars, and study groups that are designed to develop the highest level of product knowledge in targeted areas of need. With over 21,800 Kumon franchisees around the world as of March 2023, there are also opportunities to connect with and learn from international associates. In 2024, around 300 franchisees and 60 staff will be invited to attend the Kumon Australia & New Zealand Instructors’ Conference, in Cairns, Queensland. This event will provide an excellent opportunity for Kumon Instructors to network with and learn from each other, and to hear best practices from staff and associates from across the organisation. **A purposeful career** Owning and operating a Kumon franchise is the perfect opportunity for people who want a purposeful career, love working with children, and who want to make a difference in their community by developing the skill of self-learning in students.
